Peel’s State Budget Breakfast 2023-24: What’s in store for the region
On Friday 12th May, the Peel Development Commission hosted the State Budget Breakfast event at the Yunderup Sport and Recreation Club in the Shire of Murray, welcoming guests from across the Peel region.
The event was hosted by Member for Murray-Wellington Robyn Clarke MLA, with Hon. David Templeman MLA, Minister for Culture and the Arts; Sport and Recreation; International Education; Heritage sharing valuable insights on the implications of the 2023-24 budget for the Peel region.
During the Q&A session, attendees engaged with the Minister on various topics, such as the environment, renewable energy, public transport, and healthcare in our region.

The McGowan Government’s budget demonstrates its commitment to the Peel region through cost-of-living support, investments in health, housing, and transitioning to cleaner, stronger, reliable, and affordable energy.
The Budget Breakfast sparked great discussions about the future of the Peel region and was a wonderful community event.
