• Developing strategies to address skills shortages and reduce unemployment
• Identifying industry gaps and working with partners to promote investment 
• Providing specific Regional business and industry information, including assisting businesses to relocate or expand within the Peel Region
• Promoting Peel’s business capabilities
• Advocating the Region's interests to all levels of government

Community Support

Activities include:

• Linking people with services and information
• Providing expertise to champion projects that help the health of the Peel Region
• Identifying areas of need and advocating solutions

Planning and Problem Solving

Activities include:

• Facilitating collaboration between all levels of government, industry and community to deliver sustainable and positive outcomes for the Region
• Identifying regional priorities in the short, medium and long term, and working in partnership to support the delivery of these priorities

Advice to Government

• Provide advice to Government on Regional issues and priorities

Grants

• Each year, through the Regional Development Scheme, the Commission makes funds available for projects of benefit to the economic, social or environmental interests of the community.
